Baliraj began over forty years ago as a working farm tended by the Patil family — growing mangoes, rice and vegetables on fertile Konkan soil. As Mumbai grew busier and weekend escapes became rarer, the family opened the gates of their estate to friends, then to friends-of-friends, and eventually to guests from across the country.

Today, Baliraj Farmhouse blends that original family-run warmth with the polish of a premium boutique farmhouse. Our team — most of them from the surrounding villages — treats every guest the way you would treat a beloved relative arriving home.
